Rake question
I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I can't find the answer. I'm trying to determine how much more rake I pay in my local game than I would, say in Vegas where they rake 10% up to $4 and let's also assume $1 for some sort of jackpot.
Here in MI there are 2 or 3 NL games. I Play $1-2NL w/ a $6/half hour time charge and a $200 max buyin(and below average dealers) and another $1 for the bad beat. On occasion I also play $5-10 and $2-5NL where the time charge is $8/half hour and there is no cap on the buyin. Assuming I play 35 hours/week, I'll pay $21,840/year in time charge for the smaller game and $29,120/year for the bigger game. How much would I save by playing in a "normal" Vegas or California game where they rake 10% up to $4? While I adjust my play to how the game is being played, I can generally be catagorized as tight and agressive. Thanks so much. |

Re: Rake question
I don't know how much help this'll be since I don't know how Stars rakes their 1/2 NL game, but in 2.37 hours on 2.74 tables, they took in $76.30 in rake. I believe that's roughly $11.75/table-hour. Average was 228.7 hands/hour.
I'm pretty sure Stars rake maxes out at $3 at that limit, or at least that's the highest any of my pots was raked. |

Re: Rake question
Thanks. Since the online rake is lower than B&M and you can get in a hell of a lot more hands I'm not sure if this helps much, but thanks for taking the time to post a response. It at least gives me some kind of an idea
