Still haven't seen 2 yet, but 1 certainly was a nice surprise. My brother swears that 2 is better than the first one.

1 is better because it came first. 2 has its moments but overall I didn't think that it was better. Then again, I didn't have a problem with Elwes acting in 1 like everyone else seemed to. (Seriously, who is to judge how a guy who just cut his foot off is reacting by wallowing around....have THEY ever cut their foot off?...I digress)

Anyway, my roommate and I will be going the night it comes out. We did it last year and had a really good time. The Saw franchise seems cool and all, but I could easily see it 10 years from now being about on par with the Scream movies as far as "coolness."

Perhaps that is why I hope they just keep churning these out every year until there are like 12 of them. At least then we get a ton of cheap horror awesomeness.
