AJ river push?
I should have bet more on the flop. How often does Villain call a push with his Ax? BTW, how often do I get trapped with AA like this? never?

Re: AJ river push?
SB has like 28-29 left, less than pot, Id try and get it all in there. If he has a J, 88 (doesnt look likely he has this) or AK he'll pay you off. Not too many hands will call 15 but not 29 on this board IMO.

Re: AJ river push?
I'd raise more preflop.
Like you said, you have to bet more on flop. I'd 3-bet flop, but I can see waiting until the turn I suppose since there aren't many draws out. Raise more on turn. River, I don't know. Maybe $17 or $18. I don't think Ax is going to call an AI often, but I probably undersize my river bets a bit too much, so I dunno. With how much villain liked his hand, though, there's no good reason all the money isn't in the middle by the river. After villain leads turn, he's got $35 left in his stack. You should be sizing your turn bet to try to get it all in by the river, and a raise to only $12 doesn't do it. Even bumping it up to only $15 leaves him just calling a 1/2 pot bet on the river. |

Re: AJ river push?
raise more everywhere!
more preflop ($2) pot the flop for gawds sake don't minraise the turn make a real raise - if your bet sizes are better you can push the turn over the top of his raise without overbetting. What happens if an action killing card like a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] drops on the river??? you left $13 or so of value sitting unclaimed on the table... (if you'd increased your preflop bet another 50c and the action was the same villain would have been all-in by the river.) |
