Default Oct. 7th PPL Bounty Tourney at The Venetian

There will be a $200 buy-in bounty tournament next saturday night at The Venetian open to the first 250 paid entrants.

Registration just opened and will continue until the tourney is filled and should sell-out by mid week or so. If you'd like to enter, I wouldn't wait til Saturday.

Among the paid entrants will be approximately 30-40 name PROS who will have a $100 bounty on their head...everybody else is a $10 bounty when you bust 'em.

Should be a kick-ass event in that the PROS in attendance will be playing to have fun and kick off the start of the Professional Poker League. The PPL will be 64 pros on teams competing in a little different format on a slick stage at The Venetian. The ongoing Show will be broadcast live on the east coast, couple hours delayed here on the west coast from what I understand. No, this kick-off tournament won't be televised, but it will be a good time.

Pity that'll conflict with Wynn's freeroll.

You should try to get in A.S.A.P. if you want to play as Photoc said it was just about full.

I called the V earlier today and the person I spoke with briefly, forget the name, said "nearly full". So take that as you may.

Thanks for the info Billy!

When I signed up tonight (around midnight), I was #107. FWIW, they told me they are going to stop selling at 175.
So, they are going fast (as noted in other posts in this thread).

Should be a blast Saturday night.

Best Wishes

Howard

PS, Billy, thanks for the BBQ rec. also!

Quick update from last night: I'm told that The Venetian will add $100 to the prize pool per Pro player entered. Meaning the $100 bounty on the pros will be paid by the casino and will not cut into the prize pool payout to the money finishers in the tournament.

And yes Howard, you should try a brisket sandwich at K's...its big and good. Its kind of funny but the guy who owns it is a Russian dude who cut his teeth on BBQ in the Dallas area. They know BBQ in Texas, I assure you.... and K must have learned something.... try not to get your shirt messed up.

Hey Jack...K's BBQ is across LV Blvd from the Southcoast in a strip mall. Try it.

As for the Tourney, there are 34 seats left as of now. Confirmed pros playing are Doyle Brunson, Jennifer Harmon, Barry Greenstein, Antonio Esfandiere, Eli Elezra, etc, etc.
