Default Will Bush sign the bill on November 8th?

The house/senate elections in the US will take place November 7th. Right now, many [casual] players have no idea what's going on regarding their pastime. And they probably won't have any idea until they receive an email from Party stating that they can no longer play. But once they do receive the email, there are going to be alot of very unhappy voters.

I'm positive the politicians are already aware of this. Signing this bill so close to elections just seems politically brain dead. It makes perfect sense to wait until after the elections.

This also really screws over our political chances since I doubt many sites/organizations will take any active/political stance until the actual ramifications of the bill become clear.

No, it would already be law long before that.

See the FAQ that is stickied at the top of this forum for an answer to the "when will it be signed" question.

[ QUOTE ]
If any bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a law.

and in this case congress will not have adjourned and it will be a law after 10 days regardless.

(just wanted to clarify that point before people start asking about pocket veto's again)
