Default Microsoft banned from my computer? (virus?)

The strangest thing has happened to both my computers (same IP address). Since this morning, I cannot log to Windows Live Messenger or visit any website related to Microsoft. I have no problems browsing the net, but if I try to visit msn.com, microsoft.com or click on any banner that has with microsoft to do, the page just won't load.

Can anybody help?

Thanks.

sounds like malware...hopefully you just got malware that rewrote your HOSTS file. Check "C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS" (replacing C:\WINNT with your system directory if it's different....like c:\WINDOWS or whatever) and see if there's any references in there to Microsoft.com)

If there are, then you definitely have junkware.....delete the Microsoft entries, run 'doze updates, then focus on removing the malware (using our help if needed...just post back what you've discovered...some stuff is easier to remove than others).
