Default I wonder how many magazines/radio shows will go bust?

Most magazine and radio shows get there money from poker adverts. Now they are no longer targeting US players.

I wonder how many of them will go bust.

Unfortunately most of them will be gone. CardPlayer might survive, but that's about it. Very sad.

Rounders isn't going anywhere. We are Canadian and I anticpate a large demand for our advertising spots from the poker community because of our reach.

If not, no biggie. We didnt get into it for money and we would do it for free.

Lots of these magazines were around long before the boom. They'll be fine.

wrong, they won't be fine... most company's are never fine when 75% of their income source dries up. Card Player was up the creek without a paddle before the internet boom, thats why the Schulmans were able to buy it for a rock bottom price. They understood how to maximize their advertising revenue through internet poker rooms, which is also the #1 source of revenue for the other magazines. Card Player just got a multi-million influx of capital a few months ago, that may help them survive but the other titles are in trouble. At the same time Bluff and the other books were wise to diversify by opening magazines in Europe and Australia, those who did not license might have the best chance for surviving, the others might fold.

It amazes me that Cardplayer did not try to lead a real effort i.e. coordinate lobying efforts of their clients to block this legislation. Several of poker's "leaders" really let us small fry down.
