Any Hope for the Libertarian Party?
The big governement Democrats are not popular.
The Republicans who are supposed to support smaller govenment never stop its growth. The Republicans are beholden to the Religious Right, and trample on people right's amd worldwide agreements. Would not the logical answer be a vote for the Libertarian party? |

[/ QUOTE ] The fundamental problem with a successful Libertarian Party is that it is a performative contradiction for a libertarian to vote. |

Re: Any Hope for the Libertarian Party?
Guess which president had the lowest increase in government spending in relation to GDP over the last 30 years per year in office?
Bill Clinton The Republicans have been even more big government than the Dems since Nixon left office. Of course to be fair, Clinton couldn't get much pro-Democrat spending past a Republican congress. |

Re: Any Hope for the Libertarian Party?
[ QUOTE ]
The logical answer would be to look at the facts and realize that the Democrats are not at all for big government. [/ QUOTE ] Today's democrats DO want big government. Today's republicans want BIGGER government. This is just because they have more power. The moment you give any party some real power, they'll begin to abuse it and become big government monsters. Give Washington to the Democrats, and you get the New Deal policies. I believe that this is probably what would probably happen to the Libertarian party in the event that they ever gain power too. Most "libertarians" are nothing more that republicrats who like weed. However, their principles are undoubtedly less horrible than the Republicans or Democrats, so if you like freedom and responsibility and really want to vote, vote Libertarian. |

A mixed Power system is more responsible than one party being in power. |
