Default Some questions about Vegas mixed games/triple draw

Looks like I'm going to be headed to Vegas for the first time in early November. I'm tied up playing NLHE (bah!) on Saturday and early Sunday, but have a couple days before that, and need to figure out where I'm staying Thursday night. I'd like to spend the rest of the time not playing holdem, or at least playing it occasionally in a mixed game. Anyway:

1. How's the Venetian 6/12 Mixed been since the WSOP ended? Is it still running pretty regularly, and is it likely to be running on a Thursday?

2. Is the Bellagio Mixed game back to 40/80? I presume that if it's still around it would run on Friday, yes?

3. Does anything run on Sunday nights?

My tentative plan would be to book a room at Venetian on Thursday night and cover the room rate play in the 6/12, get accustomed to playing with actual chips and cards, and move over to the Bellagio game on Friday.

Bump. Come on, I put "triple draw" and "Venetian" in the post, there have to be at least two compulsive responders.

40/80 mixed was running at Bellagio a few weeks ago, not sure of the mix though. Everytime I called the venetian they did not have triple draw or badugi in the 6-12 mix. A few Bellagio regulars head over to the Venetian some nights and play 15/30 mixed with badugi, triple draw, crazy pineapple, etc.

1) Venetian Mixed game didn't run at all at the end of August, unless it was just us guys who made it run. After the crew left the game was dead.

2) 40/80 mixed at Bellagio is still around, usually daily and the list of players actually grew. TD 2-7 and Badugi are commonly requested, the game structure is decided when the game is spread.

3) 40/80 mixed is rocking on Sundays while I was there.

Guess I'd better knuckle down and do some heavy bankroll building this month. I could sit in 40/80 right now, but I'd feel very BBV about it.

There was a $15-$30 mix at the Venetian when I was there last Tuesday night. The game ran 6 handed from 10PM to about 2AM. We played Badugi, Triple Draw, and Stud HL. We started with Chinese Poker also in the mix, but it got dumped.

It was a good, action filled game!

Oh god, a 15/30 BET game! Fingers crossed that something like that happens when I'm there.

I just got back from Vegas. The Monte Carlo runs a $4/8 HORSE game on Thursday nights, but that is pretty low stakes compared to the others. They said that they will deal to requests, mentioning badugi and draw games.

So you are prepared - generally Stud H/L in Vegas isn't played with an 8 qualifier lately in the mixed games, its high low regular w/o a qualifier. Just make sure you know what you are getting into first and you will be fine.

I figured as much, but BSHLNQT isn't a very good acronym.
