New Terrorist tape...
In case you've missed it, Al Zarqawi's replacement has released a new tape. From the transcripts, the following is noted:
1. Calls for kidnappings to swap for imprisoned sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, an Egyptian man found guilty in 1995 of conspiracy to attack US targets, including the 1993 bombing of the former World Trade Centre in New York. 2. More than 4,000 foreign fighters have died fighting US-led and Iraqi government forces in Iraq. I think it is much higher than this. 3. Asking for more fighters to come to Iraq. I suppose this supports the idea that it is the central front of the global war on terror. 4. Offers amnesty to Iraqis who have cooperated with allied forces. Apparently there are Iraqis that want us there and if his side was winning, why would he be calling for reinforcements? Al Jazeera article.
