This is much more of a sitcom than the Office. So there are more gags, and some of them dont work imo, but it has some brilliant moments and is a very impressive follow up to The Office imo. The latest episode was hit n miss, the scenes with Keith Chegwin in were really really, really good, but the rest was mediocre imo.

I just watched s02e01 last night and thought it was pretty good. It definitely aroused my interest enough that I'm going to watch s01 as soon as I can get a hold of it. Obviously this wasn't as good as The Office (UK version FTW) but I think Gervais is very good and I also enjoyed a stand-up set of his I saw, so I'm looking forward to watching the previous episodes. The only scenes I wasn't laughing at were the ones with the woman in them (the other main character I assume).

Agreed that the Chegwin bits were hilarious.

So there is a season 2 running now? Somehow that got by me. I thought the first episodes last season were awesome.

I just watched the new episode and I'm not too happy with it. Not that it wasn't funny, but they went and changed the whole basis of the show in that episode. For the shows sake I hope that Andy quites the sitcom and goes back to being an extra.

And I just finished watching season 1 yesterday. My favourite episode was probably the Kate Winslet one with Ben Stiller a close second.

Extras is damn close to the office in quality, closer than most people give it credit for. Season 1 was brilliant, the only episode I wasn't incredibly impressed with was ep 4.

S02e01 was [censored] brilliant. S02e02 was the worst episode I've seen, which still makes it better than 99% of anything else on TV.

Haven't watched it yet but I do have a question. Was Gervais ever an extra himself and is the show autobiographical or did he just come up with the idea?

Just watched the season finale. I thought it pretty much sucked ass apart from a few bits (like the masturbation part).

Overall Season 1 was soo much better than Season 2.
