Default improving my short term memory?

I don't pay attention to or care about anything and as a result I have, in the last week:

-locked myself out of my room thrice
-lost my favorite had-em-since-I-was-5 sunglasses
-lost my student ID card
-briefly lost, but later found, ipod and keys a few times
-forgot to bring condoms to school

Also I have a terrible sense of direction and can never remember how to get around to places if I've only been to and from once or twice.

how do I improve this part of my memory?

ja,

i believe word games, puzzles and other brain-teaser type activities may help to keep you sharp. i hear that kind of advice more directed towards old people, but perhaps you have some sort of early onset alzheimer's and it'll end up helping.

The problem with thes things is that he may not hae the attention span for them. The OP did not really sound like a STM problem, but a distraction problem. I am very much like this, my wife calls me the "absentminded professor". I can only think of one thing at a time and am often easily distracted, meaning whatever I was just doing gets forgotten or lost or goes undone.

um. what?

Assuming you were talking to a girl and she wanted to have sex with you, you couldn't just like, pick some up at 7 11 or something?

was she trying to bang you? I hope not having condoms with you at the time did not prevent you from getting some. There are obvious ways around this.
