Default MTT vs Single table SnG

Hi,

Regarding getting all your chips in the middle in respect to a MTT vs single table SnG....

Could it be said that in a MTT you need to get the chips in there and double up again and again so you can handle the huge blinds that eventually build up and also get that big stack that's needed to win....so you wind up going all in at certain stages in order to accomplish this? I figure that when you're so far from the money that you need to do this to have any chance of cashing.

While in the single table SnG, perhaps it's better to hold on as long as you can while you manage your money so that you can get past the bubble and at least finish in 3rd and have some chance at 1st? So even though your blinds to chip stack ratio may be bad (perhaps 7 or less), you'd still not go all in unless everyone is out-chipping you in a huge way?

I hope that's all clear

Thanks in advance for any answers to this.

Lou!

This is a deeper question than you have simply stated. Read the STT FAQ and the MTT FAQ/Anthology and you will see what I'm saying.

read the FAQ's as said. Also note that you can get deep in a MTT without ever doubling on a flip. Small and medium sized pots and blindstealing being the key
