Default Sweat Spider at 6-max - 9/13/2006

When: 9:00 tonight on pstars
AIM: btspider

I'm curious to see if this format will work. I'm going to sit at a 6-max game and set up a group AIM chat. Anyone and everyone can all join in the chat and we'll do a mass group sweat. I'll message the hand I'm dealt and people can lurk/sweat/comment/debate each of my decisions. We can post ones where people disagree on, etc.

The 'Well' gave me this idea. Each week or every other week we could have a vet (or multiple vets at the same table) volunteer for this.

I don't have a db on any pstars stakes, so when I sit down, it will be vs 5 unknowns. I can update the stat/note reads as I play for any latecomers. I'll probably just play 3/6 or something, so it can be a stake in the range of the micro forum.

I'm on AIM now, so hop into the group chat whenever. I'll join a game around 9:00.

Here's some of the hands which were requested to be posted from my session:
AJo 3-bet from the SB

-----------------------------------------------
Hand 1:
Villian was 40/14/2.3 after 27 hands. I don't think I had any specific notes on him yet.

PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: (7.33 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.66 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, Button calls.

River: (12.66 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, Button calls.

Final Pot: 14.66 BB

--------------------------------------------

Hand 2:
Villian was 19/9/3.7 after about 80 hands. He folded or won w/o showdown most of the time, so I don't have many hands on him. In one hand which occured later, villian checked his BB option with A5.. raised a flop bettor on an Axx board.. bet turn, and checked behind on a river that completed no draws.

PokerStars 3/6 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 2.50 BB

A7 hand? Pretty standard Id say. I guess you cracked an AK/ AA.

edit: I may have raised the flop immediately, call a 3-bet and fold unimproved / jam it (like u did) with those 777ssss.

In hand 1 the villian has similar raising and aggression stats as me and I know I would be 3-betting you here with a very wide range (probably all pp and everything down to KTs.) I like the flop call because I'm going to continuation bet here every time. I assume you would have played WA/WB if the other 7 didn't come. It looks like he has the king on the turn. I would probably go into call down mode there if I had it, but he is fairly aggressive.

I like hand 2 against this guy. The only thing is that at short handed people play really poorly out of the blinds. They think they have to defend or steal every time the situation comes up. I'm not sure he is one of them though with his stats. Wait until you have position and a real hand against this guy because he'll probably get too attached to his hands unless he always raises when it's folded to him on the button or SB.
