Any word on these games, your picks, over/under?

I've got 2 units on SD -3. I know I'm betting against the homedog..but this still seems like great value here.

I am debating the over in this game as well, as I expect a shootout. The main worry I have is that Oakland might be dead on offense...

I have nothing on the MIN/WAS game other than a small small lean toward WAS.

Not a regular on the board but I like the Chargers -3 and under 42.

The reasons for the under is:

1. I believe the Chargers defense will handle the Raiders offense.

2. Marty has a history of playing conservative mistake-free offense. Against the Raiders historically it is well known that he waits for them to implode. He is also starting a young QB. Look for Tomlinson left and Tomlinson right this game.

The only way I see this game going over is if the Raiders jump on the Chargers early or there are a couple of pick6s.

I, along with 78% of all bettors, am on the Chargers -3, and I absolutely hate it.

WAS/MIN I have 1st half under 17.5.

Is Washington at -4 a good pick?
as far as i can tell the Viking are not a good team.

I didn't realize Portis wasn't starting. Brunell will have to have a huge game...maybe not such a good pick.

I have Minnesota +4.5. I have no good reasons. I am only following a guy who is hot on another board. I may post about him later.

I think the biggest reason to worry from the Chargers end is that you're going against a division rival that's a home dog on a Monday night game, and is going to be hyped, especially with Art Shell returning as coach, and it being the season opener. Aaron Brooks was a bum last year, but he hasn't always been. And of course Rivers is starting his first game.

My instinct is that Rivers is going to have a decent season, but even if he does, that doesn't mean he can't get off to a shaky start. The Chargers have owned the Raiders recently, so I like their chances, but would expect the Raiders best effort.

Thought I heard a Moss 'non comment' regarding the Porter-Shell situation which didn't exactly sound like a ringing endorsement of Shell. Not that it's necessarily bad for the Raiders (Shell not being on Moss' Christmas card list). But it could be.

Among the things that West mentions, the main reason I reallly dont like it is because the line hasnt moved off the 3. I bet it early expecting a ton of public $ on the chargers(which there is) and expecting the line to go higher (which it hasnt). I dont really know why, I think the public would still bet SD at -3.5 to -5.

edited to add- The books might be afraid of the sharps poundung +3.5 or higher.
