Default Seattle 2p2ers

I'll be in the Emerald City on February 9-12 for some interviews(I'm trying to move up there), and I need recommendations for cardrooms, restaurants(not too expensive), and coffeehouses. I'm staying in downtown Seattle. If any of you guys would like to meet up, that would be cool, too.

As far as coffee, there are probably a dozen choices within a block of your hotel. If you can get to the Pike Place Market, you should. I used to work a block from there and it is wonderful.

As far as cardrooms, they are all a twenty minute drive (at least) from downtown. I like Diamond Lil's in Renton, because it is well run, and they offer more limits (4-8, 6-12, 8-16, 12-24 and 6-12 Omaha/8). For games bigger than 12-24 you will have to go to Muckleshoot (Tribal) in Auburn, 40 minutes south of Seattle, they have up to 3 tables of 20-40 and bigger. The Tulalip tribal casino (45 mins. N of Seattle) offers "No Limit" 200 max, and I heard they get a 500 max going.

There are several low limit rooms in Shoreline, which is north of Seattle and can be reached by bus. These include Parker's, Drift on Inn, Club Hollywood, and Goldies. Parker's has 8-16 and 4-8 consistently.

The town will be hung over from the Super Bowl.

Good luck,

Zeem

Most games here are decent (they're nothing like the games in California, though). I used to play in some very soft games, but the establishments hosting those games have all failed (can't figure that out). I would avoid 10/20 games on the reservations--those are usually pretty rocked up. Higher games are often better.

My favorites are Diamond Lil's and Muckleshoot. Most 4/8 players in both establishments are very passive and a steady profit can be made despite losing $5 a pot. Higher games at Lil's are usually very good on weekends, though occasionally they get rocked up.

The mucks 10-20 is as soft as a pillow. I haven't seen it rocked up in quite some time.
