What to say to a friend who constantly calls me \"Lucky\" when I win?
This is annoying. I have a friend who is a losing player. He constantly calls me to tell me about his bad beats and how unlucky he is. Whenever I win tourneys, or SNGs he would never tell me nice job, its more like "how are you so lucky" or "you could never win with my luck". He always conveniently dismisses his suckouts and only remembers the bad ones. I had Pokerstars send him the stats of all his races but he still doesn't believe its true. He thinks im lucky and he's unlucky.

Okay I posted this 2 mins ago and I already got a phone call from my friend. I pick up the phone and hear, "I don't know why I even play! I get JJ and I lose to QK and bubble"
Im thinking that he's a 54% favorite. I hear this all day long!

I have KK and the chipleader makes a huge raise in front i push he instacalls with AA. I turn a K (oops!).. He calls me flipping out how lucky I am. If that happened to him he'd forget about it immediately.

ask yourself : do I want to win money from this guy or teach him to play poker?
if you want to teach him to play then send him to 2+2 (and tell him where the beginners and bbv sections are). I would invite him to a cash game for the highest stakes he'll play, but i'm like that.

Eventually I'd just tell him that I don't want to hear any more bad beat stories. If you start to tell me one, I'm hanging up. b
