Default 3-town?

Opponent is a good 27/20/2 player with about 35% ATSB. Sometimes I 3bet this PF (but I don't think that's a big deal).

Easy, thin or no?

not likely. has to be A7 or A4 really. OR a big ace that's not 2pr. A gutter/fd thing that got there is more likely.

I think if villain has A4 he pops the turn most times, so we have to discount that a bit... A7 + discounted A4 isn't that many combinations, other than that he'd have to have a good amount of 1pr Aces that waited to the river to raise for value(most aren't this sophisticated) to make up for the potential flushes he could have backed into. The fact that the Ace on board is not a spade makes it more likely he ran into one since he could have AsXs. I'd just call.

I think this is a call, but I'd expect to have the worst hand a majority of the time

I don't know your postflop game, but I think this hand gets alot easier to play with a 3-bet preflop.

Having the 8s makes this a 3ball for me on the end.

Being 4handed I think this is good meta for both when we lose and when we win.

I would probably call. I think you need a better read, ie he waits with Ax to the river where he knows not many people will 3-bet him.

Id 3bet and this is before reading the responses, just my first reaction to the hand. Its more intresting without hte A of spades and the fact he didnt go crazy on the flop, usually means weak ace or pair, maybe KT peeling and he could have backed into a bd draw...but I doubt it although it does happen.

maybe its because I play absolute often and they dont give a [censored] and will pop u on the turn with any sort of picked up draw, board be damned. (they love to bluff that turn Ace as well)
