Default AUGUST: Goals, Challenges, Expectations

Pokey started this up last month in this thread:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...;vc=1&nt=15

If you haven't posted your results yet, go do it. Everybody wants to know how everyone is going.

Since Pokey hasn't done one for August, I thought I would start one up...

Goals: targets you are not certain you can achieve, but that you would like to conquer. Think of these as an aggressive self-motivating target. Examples:
1. "win 12 PTBB/100"
2. "play 2500 hands per day"
3. "win $2500"
4. "play 20 hours per week"
5. "move up permanently to $50NL"
6. "increase my bankroll to 35 buyins"
7. "move up to six-tabling"
8. "post one hand per day"
9. "reply to 10 threads per day"
10. "reread NLHTAP, TOP, HOH1, and Psych of Poker"

Challenges: a smaller version of a goal, a challenge is a difficult-but-achievable minor target. Examples:
1. "get 10 hands into one weekend happy thread"
2. "build a 5 buyin stack at a table"
3. "take a shot at $100NL"
4. "win money in an MTT"
5. "get stacked without tilting"
6. "win a buyin at a 2+2 table"
7. "have a +6 buyin day"
8. "make at least one note on everybody at each of my tables one night"
9. "play one night without yelling at a fish"
10. "compliment someone who sucked out on me"

Expectations: these are things you reasonably expect will happen during the month. They should be less aggressive than goals/challenges, and by the end of the month you should be able to look back and say "yup, I accomplished that." Examples:
1. "win 6 PTBB/100 for the month"
2. "make 10 new notes per night"
3. "play 15,000 hands"
4. "increase my bankroll by 10 buyins, after paying myself"
5. "take shots at $50NL until I succeed"
6. "play 2000 hands of full ring"
7. "review my sessions each evening and post hands that I misplayed"
8. "stop surfing the internet while I play"
9. "quit when I start tilting"
10. "bluff less on the river when my draw misses"

So: what are your personal goals, challenges, and expectations for the coming month of August?

Goals:

- build up a $375 bankroll, and start taking shots at 25NL.
- then build up a $500 bankroll, and move to 25NL permanently
- FT a $1 MTT.

Challenges:

- Study Harrington on Hold'Em, all volumes.
- Study Super System.
- Grunch 5-25NL posts, even when I'm not sure about the answer.

Expectations:

- Respond to all 5-25NL posts I have a clear answer to.
- Get sucked out on many times. Dish out very few bad beats.
