well, writing "non smoking" and have one dude smoke at the picture is kinda weird, though i guess he's just party-smokes. Anyway.
+ Posting a pic that looks very much that it's from a party can't be +ev trying to get a place to rent? Post a pic of u playing some sort of sports, that would be much more appealing. My 2 cents. and hah, non ugly? |

www.homesdatabase.com
Once you pick the State and then County, click the "Residential Rentals" tab. $1700-1800 seems to be enough for a 4 bed / 2.5 bath in Fairfax City. |

Re: Looking for a house in the Washington DC area to rent
Are you allready in the area? If not you can give me a PM. I work and live in Fairfax. Cant say Ill put a real effort in, but if you let me know what your looking for I can keep an eye out. I just bought a little bit ago, but used to rent and 1800 sounds about right for an ok house/townhouse.
Also. Depending on circumstances, just being a little out of Fairfax can save you allot. Kind of depends what you are here for, but finding someplace on the right side of 29 or 50 that is outside the city can be a quicker drive then going from one side of the city to the other (traffic can blow). |

Re: Looking for a house in the Washington DC area to rent
All,
I currently live in Fairfax, and due to schooling situation, don't want to leave the Fairfax area (We all go to GMU). And yes, we have looked a ton on craigslist, but no one really wants to rent to four 21 year old guys when they can wait 2 more days and get a respectable military family. Going to college in a non-college town really blows. danvh, Thanks for the offer, but since we already live in FFX, it isn't exactly worth you wasting your time on. Re: Looking for a house in the Washington DC area to rent
Not a very interesting story, we have been looking for around three weeks and can't find anyone who is real receptive to the idea of renting to 4 college students.
We had a short notice because the real estate agent who manages the current house we live in never informed us we couldn't renew the lease so we were just expecting to be able to do that. Finally we initiated contact with him and he told us the owner wants to sell. Edit: The sellers market in NOVA is down and lots of people are trying to rent until the market stabilizes a little bit. Those other people are respectable people with good jobs and a family. They take priority. |
