Pretty bad IMO. You must be posting it b/c he had a draw. It does look like a draw, but a FD + an over is about a coin flip against you, and a pair + FD or FD + 2 overs, or set/2 pair, anything else, is a favorite over you.

FWIW, when I flop sets, I sometimes do a line similar to this to make it look like a draw.

There is at least a chance he has a flush draw right?

Yeah, I figured it was either a set (unlikely) or the flush draw or some other big draw.

I know at best I'm a coin flip but the pot is laying pretty good odds to take a coin flip.

youre right, you are getting ok odds for a coinflip, but that's only part of his range. I think your problem here is that you are picking a part of his range that you are ok against and assigning way too much weight to that. Most of the time I think you are dead in the water. And with a flush draw, he probably has at least one overcard, if not two and a combo draw

Has he seen you re-raising much?

Do you think he would expect you to fire a continuation bet almost always?

If you are almost always CBetting, then I think that this is much much more likely to be a draw than a good made hand, and you do have at least 6 outs vs just about everything.

If he starts throwing in a few big hands there, the overlay goes down pretty quick, though.

I haven't been reraising much. It's probably my second orbit. I would c-bet this flop quite a bit.

The last point is the most important. I thought that this move was most likely a monster (set, straight) or a good draw. Combinatorically sets are unlikely and straights probably wouldn't make the preflop call.

Jim you think it's mediocre but perhaps okay? That's what I'm hoping for.

I'd fold, I think you have to be worried about a slowplayed overpair in addition to strong flush draws(12+ outs usually) and sets. He might also just have something like AJ and is worried you'll check behind 3 ways on a connected board if you missed.
