Default Omaha Players - Variance Question

I played PLOH for the first time last night. I won about $350 in 6 table-hours (3 hours times 2 tables) @ .25-.25PL and the same time at .50.50PL. Now I've been hearing for a while that the PLOH games online are some of the softest you can find, but this seems rediculous. My question is, what's the variance like in Omaha? How lucky did I get? Are the games really that soft, or was this a nice run just watch out for the days you drop 3 bills without winning a hand, or was this stratosperic luck of a sort I will never see at the tables again?

I've had amazing runs both up and down in LHE, but having never played Omaha before I don't know how to rate this experience. Any stories or advice or shared experience is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

fully expect 4 BI swings. my July-now graph is just mountains of swings, generally 3-4BI, but always steady up overall. nice run on those tables, im guessin ur playin on Pokeroom skin? (they do a double BB for their PL games...which is nice for PF raising)

and yes, to fit the trend, PLOL

I recently sat down at a 10 handed plo 25 table.

I then proceeded to play every hand for about 5 orbits.

I got allin preflop a lot, and I won a lot as well. I started the table off with a 3 buyin downswing, but I eeventually made it up to 200 dollars at the (25 buyin) table. From there I had another unfortunate 8 buyin or so downswing.

I musta played about 10 orbits before i left, crushed and disatisfied.... like a pile of filthy vomit.

PLO is I think the most variancealicous common game. Embrace it.

i would advise playing short handed PLO to reduce variance and increase your winrate.
