The turn bet size sucks, its asking to be blown out fo the water. If you are going to fire, then you have to bet ~10 ish.

I am more inclined to check the turn.

I would check the turn if he called that flop and he's 30/5, that's really passive. If you have some read on him and don't think he has a K, that $5.50 bet isn't even half pot, $9-$10 is better.
