Default (16t) Bubble - someone shoot me...

I'm an idiot for this river call -

Read: Villian was passive, when he called my weak flop bet he had a piece of the flop.

How's the line up til the idiot river call I made, and yes I think I hate money.

Preflop?

Flop - you putting in a bet here - if so how much.

Turn - gotta check behind I think.

River should of been a fold, especially with my read.

On the flop I bet more, 500 or so. Does "he had a piece of the flop" also mean A9 or J8 here?

I guess the river is a fold.

i go 600 on the flop. in-game i probably really want to see his hand and probably call, but IMO this is a fold, especially given bubble status.

n00b question:
Were the chip stacks listed before or after everyone posted blinds?

---

What was your read, simply that he was passive? If he is truly passive I would say this is a fold.

For you to make this call you need to win only %30 of the time, it seems like with a lot of players you would make this call, but I would say it is close.

Also, does he only need %30, or does something about the bubble/sitngo strategy make this different?

I would tend to check the flop along with the villain and just take a free card. This can be a tricky and dangerous hand to have if you're up against other Broadway hands like K Q/K J/A 10/K 10/Q 10 etc which players will not always raise with, but merely complete in the SB. The turn? I would check too. Fold the river. No need getting too heavily involved with this hand with the shorty in CO about to get hit with the 400 BB and 25 ante on the next hand.

Stacks are before blinds are posted.

He was passive as in - He limped AA UTG earlier in the game - so he could have a very wide range here, he had limped and folded regularly to a bet.
He called when he had a hand and sometimes with a draw.

FWIW - Passive as in - he had Q10 - flopped a straight, flush on the board and didn't bet til the river.
