Wierd fantasy scoring
8 person league. 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Defense. 1 pt for 50 yards throwing, 20 yards running, 20 yards receiving. 6 pts for any TD.
seems like this way overvalues TD, because 100 yards, no TD which is a good day << 60 yards, 1 TD, which is just having a big bruiser who runs it in. how should this effect my drafting? i figure alexander, johnson, portis are still likely to be big TD guys, but how about other RB? ronnie brown, james, willy parker? also for WR, yards are practically meaningless. i just need whoever is likely to get most TD basically, because between my 3 WR i'd like to have like 1.5 TD a week and basically i can more than make up the difference in yards (because i don't think someone is going to crush me by 100 yards a week consistently). so, any good place to figure out which TE/WR/RB to be taking? |

Re: Wierd fantasy scoring
I had a similar problem in a league that I was in: 6 pts for all TDs, and very few points for yardage. This made QB the most important position by far.
In my opinion, the best thing you can do is run your scoring system against actual stats, see how the players and positions compare. I use draftwiz.com for this. There are plenty of other similar sites out there as well. |

Re: Wierd fantasy scoring
This scoring seems very standard.
