Post your top 12 fantasy draft picks
Well my fantasy draft has not happened yet. My draft is not till the end of August. In a 12 owner league, I have pick #12. Yikes. Though I also have pick #13. So like any fantasy players I am trying to predetermine who will be available when it gets to my pick. Of course the scoring system can matter on your picks, in my league RB and WR are the key positions.
My listed top 12 draft: 1 Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City 2 Shaun Alexander, RB, Seattle 3 LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, San Diego 4 Tiki Barber, RB, N.Y. Giants 5 Edgerrin James, RB, Arizona 6 Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis 7 Peyton Manning, QB, Indianapolis 8 LaMont Jordan, RB, Oakland 9 Rudi Johnson, RB, Cincinnati 10 Brian Westbrook, RB, Philadelphia 11 Cadillac Williams, RB, Tampa Bay 12 Willie Parker, RB, Pittsburgh Hovering around the top 12: Terrell Owens, WR, Dallas Donavan Mcnabb, QB, Philadelphia Marvin Harrison, WR, Indinanapolis Antonio Gates, TE, San Diego Clinton Portis, RB, Washington With pick #12 and #13 I would take Brian Westbrook RB if he fell down that low, and I think Antonio Gates TE will have another huge year. |

You are going to lose for sure if you draft a TE with the #13 pick [/ QUOTE ] Its a factor of who will remain healthy, the expected record of the team, and their previous years. Yes Willie Parker is that high on my list, because Bill Cowher will always run the ball esp when the Steelers have a decent lead. Antonio Gates seems like a very odd pick, but he had one of the highest points production totals last year, even for a TE. He was in the endzone all the time. This is not a lock decision, it will be a on the clock choice. However I am thinking Gates will have another big year. 2005 season: Player No Yds Avg Long TD Antonio Gates 89 1101 12.4 38 10 |

Re: Post your top 12 fantasy draft picks
Just a couple of thoughts...
- I know it has been said ad nauseam but the 4th pick this year may be the single worst picking position of all time - You can't take a TE with #13, the only way I'm not taking 2 RBs 12/13 is if Manning falls that low (and that's mostly for the trade value) - I think the 3rd pick this year is the best but I think 8 is also good (especially if you get 1 or 2 bad owners in front) Here’s my top 12 (assuming Clinton Portis is out, I had him 5th before the shoulder thing): 1. Shaun Alexander, RB, Seahawks 2. Larry Johnson, RB, Chiefs 3. LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, Chargers 4. Tiki Barber, RB, Giants 5. Edgerrin James, RB, Cardinals 6. Rudi Johnson, RB, Bengals 7. Steven Jackson, RB, Rams 8. Carnell Williams, RB, Buccaneers 9. Ronnie Brown, RB, Dolphins 10. LaMont Jordan, RB, Raiders 11. Domanick Davis, RB, Texans 12. Brian Westbrook, RB, Eagles |

11. Domanick Davis, RB, Texans [/ QUOTE ] Houston sportsradio610 does their daily show from the training camp indoor bubble. They believe Domanick Davis degenerative knee condition is continuing to get worse. They feel he might never be back to his original potential, and might not even be a starter for week1. Week 1 is still 3 weeks away though. |
