Line Check: TPTK Cbet min check-raised by unknown (NL100)
What is a sensible plan from here? I know this kinda thing is supposedly 101 ABC, but stuff like this still baffles the hell out of me...
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) BB ($124.63) UTG ($89.34) MP ($122.75) Hero ($95.50) SB ($115.48) Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50. 2 folds, Hero raises to $4, SB (poster) calls $3.50, 1 fold. Re: Line Check: TPTK Cbet min check-raised by unknown (NL100)
My plan here would partially depend on what kind of hands SB has shown down. If I was OOP and this was a full-ring game, I'd probably be folding this rather quickly.
In this situation I like calling the min-raise and evaluating on the turn. If checked to I check behind and am prepared to call a bet (very possibly a bluff) on the end. If checked to twice I am value betting for sure. If Villian pots the turn without a read I can probably (possibly weak tightly) find the fold button and wait for a better opportunity barring some sort of read. You may be losing here, but Villian may have an AQ-AJ type hand or weaker - the more aggressive you've been lately the greater the chances are that he's calling with more and more hands. |
