Fantasy League Settings
The settings my friends insist upon are quite ridiculous. Must start 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 Flex, 2 Defenses, and 2 Kickers, also passing TDs get 6 points instead of traditional values (3 or 4). What kind of strategy adjustments must one make? Obviously QBS are of higher value, would one take a QB in the 5th spot?

Re: Fantasy League Settings
You would select Peyton if you could. Hasslebeck maybe.

Re: Fantasy League Settings
Also, cannot neglect kickers and defenses as you must start two of those. obviously you are not taking them early but i can see taking a defnse in possibly the 5th round.

Re: Fantasy League Settings
Peyton has a higher value becuase you start 2 QBs...Not because of the 6 points per TD.
WIth a flex still there I would be going RB and WR until the late rounds unless you get Manning mid-late first or Palmer mid-late second.... QB just take a flier on Culpepper and Kitna. Both high upside. |

There's way too much variability week to week, it's difficult to predict how 11 guys will mesh before the season, and the point values between great and average are too close. True, since you start two there's a bit more value there, but 5th is crazy. The only change is that the QB value increases because you start 2 of them, as SoloAJ said. Having to go 2 deep does significantly affect overall depth, much more so than with defenses. -SonnyJay |

Re: Fantasy League Settings
Defenses and Kickers are still my last 4 picks. I have never been a big advocate of wasting picks on defense.
