Hellmuth right at home with a buncha twentysomethings??
Does this post from Vanessa Rousso's infrequently updated blog seem bizzare to anyone else: [ QUOTE ]
We were strolling along when we see a fast-paced, sunglasses-wearing (it was night time), Phil Hellmuth heading away from the Aviation Club (apparently just having been knocked out). I had spoken with him earlier in the day at the tournament, so I decided to wave and ask about how he went out. To my surprise, he stopped not only to chat, but he decided to join us for dinner... When we got there, Phil surprised us by ordering a bottle of Crystal and a bottle of Dom with two glasses for each of us to taste test. As three twenty-something year old poker fans, we were convinced that we had to be dreaming...We ended up drinking, eating and chatting the night away until almost 4am... He was a talented conversationalist and he was generous in sharing his business savvy and insight into the poker-business world. The highlight of the night was when Phil decides to bust out in a Jay-Z rap, then messes it up, tries again, messes it up, and finally gets it right (but by that time the three of us were practically crying we were laughing so hard!). Phil is eclectic, outgoing, and intelligent, not to mention a very proud family man . [/ QUOTE ] Nothing says "family man" quite like getting blitzed with and spitting wack rhymes to group of college gurlz in Paris when u have a wife and two kids back home. My verdict: looozer! (who probably didnt even hit it)

I think you picked the wrong story if you want to show Hellmuth to be a loser. The verdict seems to be more like: "Pretty friendly guy who has a pretty good life."
