Default WSOP chop

Do you think this could happen this year? I think that eventually there wont be deal making allowed at the main event final table. Seems like it would be anti climactic and not good for TV.

who has the right to tell them what to do with their money? A chop wouldnt make it anti climatic either b/c 1st is worth more than just the prize money

With a chop they still play it out for the bracelet.

And I don't think they would mention the deal on TV..

I don't see why the 2 players playing HU for $6M shouldn't chop.

I think chops have gotten less common in recent years; in the Moneymaker year, Farha wasn't interested, and in the Fossilman year, no one asked him as he was such a big leader. Last year, everyone in the final few players was already winning such a life changing amount of money that there wasn't really the same need as a normal tourney to chop.

if the last two did chop wouldn't they have to announce it?

Considering the amount of the first prize I would rather pay taxes on 9million than 12million if that is indeed all I got- i guess they could figure in the taxes before making the deal on both prizes and split the difference, but i dont know how that happens exactly.

It would make the event alot less exciting for me. Just imagine any sports event where there is prize money and they stop right before the end and say, 'oh well, let's just split up the prize money' and you don't get to see the end. It's so anti-climatic and boring to remove the ending part just for the sake of money.

They wouldn't just stop.

They keep playing for the bracelet.

FACT: They already chopped it up 140 ways last night. Everyone gets 500k. Also, NOBODY TIPPED.
