UTG ($299.75) [Hero]
MP ($12.50)

Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Preflop: (6 players, $1.5)
Hero calls $1 and raises $4, MP folds, CO calls $5, Button folds, SB calls $4.50, BB calls $4

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players, $20)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $15, CO folds, SB calls $15 and raises $18 and is All-In, BB calls $33 and raises $18, Hero?

turbo fold. Is isnt letting you get to showdown for free after this flop, and you certainly dont want to play for 235BB w/ QQ against any action, especially like this. If you called I hope you spiked a Q and then filled up on river

this isn't a turbofold. it's quite possible BB just wants to get heads up with the donk with a draw/overcards/all kinds of [censored] and have the dead money be an overlay.

i'm not saying i'm tempted to call but considerations like these make me at least mull it over some. there's no rosy path to showdown and i don't want to play a 500BB pot with the third nut one pair hand, but it's quite possible BB is making a move and i think it at least deserves discussion.

If BB comes right out with it, then I mull it over, but bb check raised after significant action. I just don't see any value for hero in this hand.

[/ QUOTE ]We know BB is solid. We don't know if he's tricky, capable of making this play, or if he views Hero has solid. I see your point but OP didn't give us enough information to gamble our stack away.

BTW what do you put BB on that we beat that would want to get heads up with SB? Does the fact that we're 300BB deep widen his range?

edit: i said gamble our stack away, but that's a bit of an exaggeration. just clearing that up..

edit2: calling here is bad, right? so many scary turn cards..

Not to mention you would be pulling to two outs on an active table
