Default peavy vs. penny

i haven't been paying too much attention to game wagering lately, but does anyone else think it's crazy that peavy is an underdog in this game? his DIPS numbers are ahead of penny's even in a very down year, and the dodgers lineup is in tatters right now.

Default Re: peavy vs. penny

I suppose it seems a little odd in that the Dodgers can't hit right now plus San Diego just beat them twice in a row. But Peavy has been just awful. Until he figures out what to do with the changeup, he's not going to be able to get major league hitters out. It may seem hard to believe, but it was only a month ago that he went 8 innings, struck out 9 and only gave up 1 ER against Seattle. As a matter of fact, that's the only great start he's had in the last 2 months.

Someone who's handicapping ability I respect is on LA pretty big tommorrow, but personally, I don't think I'll go anywhere near this game.
