People Applying for non-Federal Law Loans
Next year will be my 1L year at law school. I'm receiving the maximum subsidized stafford and unsubsidized stafford loans possible for the federal gov. My school has recommended an amount additional in private loans.
My gameplan was to go through the Access Group, who is their preferred lender for the rest. They offer LIBOR+2.7%. However, I was wondering if anyone had experience with GradPlus loans? I know relatively little about them, but someone in my financial aid office just mentioned that they might be a better bet. - Has anyone borrowed with Access Group before? - Does anyone have GradPlus loans or experience with them? - Any other thoughts in general? |

Re: People Applying for non-Federal Law Loans
As someone who's going to go through this process after I graduate this year and need loans for law school, how big of a pain in the a$$ was this process and when should I start??

Re: People Applying for non-Federal Law Loans
I borrow from THE. They are very awesome, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Fantastic customer service, quick funding, reasonable interest, attractive incentives for people who repay on time.
My g/f used Access and liked them. GradPlus I don't know about. I would recommend that you just call both of them, and ask them lots of questions. It seems to be an industry where people are very helpful and used to dealing with people who are completely unfamiliar with what they're talking about. (I know I was.) |
