(114) Call a shove w/ 66 vs a regular?
Can you help me assign a range for this player?
He is a very profitable player I've played a ton against at the 60s. But here is a note: "L4 pushed 13bb UTG with A9o" One thing to consider is BB was a nutcase/loose canon. PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t150 (7 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com UTG (t1090) UTG+1 (t1445) MP1 (t1240) CO (t5420) Button (t1095) Hero (t1265) BB (t1945) Preflop: Hero is in SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, CO folds, Button raises to t1095 (All-in), Hero... |

Re: (114) Call a shove w/ 66 vs a regular?
He should be pushing a very wide range with those chip stacks. He probably knows this if he's profitable. Not really sure how he's profitable if he pushed 13bb utg with A9o, but anyways, I'd probably call if the big blind is loose as you say, since that takes away from your fold equity in later hands and you should be ahead of button's range.

Would everyone still call if the BB was 100 instead of 150?

Re: (114) Call a shove w/ 66 vs a regular?
when villain pushed a9 utg, was it 4-handed or 9? it matters a lot more how far off the button than whether he was 1st to act. i'd probably fold here. with no read on bb i would call, but you hate to have the regular pushing tighter and the maniac lurking to overcall KJ.

[/ QUOTE ] This range for villain is breakeven: 22+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+ [ QUOTE ] you hate to have the regular pushing tighter and the maniac lurking to overcall KJ. [/ QUOTE ] Schwza's comment here is exactly why I questioned if I should call. At gametime, I was making an assumption that *because* the BB was a loose cannon, button's range would be tighter, *and* I was worried about a call from the BB. Villain's push with A9o was UTG while 6 or 7 handed, I remember it because it really surprised me from this player at the time. So it seems to me most of you here think villain is pushing Ax, QJ, even JTs here? |
