Default 5-10 - I\'m a Smhmuck

Playing 5/10 Live at the Bellagio. Guy on my right is this older like 50 year old REALLY cool dude. He wants to hook me up with his daughter (brag) and his wife was hot.

But I take no mercy when I'm in the hand. He's pretty aggro preflop but not smart aggro. More like.. I got AJo UTG+2 raise aggro, not a 3 better aggro either.

6 handed, I'm only 900 deep and playing incredibly nitty. He open limps on the button (fish to my left who says he's a better player than me because he's been playing before I was born says that's a good play).

I pop it to 50 with 8c5c in the SB. Button Calls.

Flop is 552 1 crub

I lead for 50 hoping to get raised. He makes it 150. I call.

Now... Here's where I get kind of lost. It's an excercise at trying to put him on range of hands that I can possibly beat at this point. I don't think that he would do this with 66 or 77. Maybe 88-AA but I can't see him having that a lot of the time.

Turn 4c... Now I have a flush draw too. I donk for 200. He calls.

River Kd.... I donk for 300.. He calls.

I hate you're weak betting here, I'd lead a little stronger on every street. Not really sure where you feel lost in this hand, if he has donk;limped AA OTB it's time to extract more value out of the hand.

Why? It's small enough that he can call with his overpair. The flop bet got exactly what I wanted... A raise. I decided to flat call and donk the turn.

I was only like 875 deep at the beginning of the hand. I guess 250 and 350 is a little better on the turn and river.

[/ QUOTE ] what else is new lol

button limping is a good play sometimes because stealing the blinds in cash play is a lot more risk than what you gain. ive found lots of players to do this w/ weak connecting hands like T9o, J8o, or a weak ace. once he calls the flop im thinking he's either floating or has A5 or K5 because i would think he raises a pocket pair pf to build a pot he can win w/ his set, + he has position, all good things, why wouldnt he raise? i doubt that im getting away from the hand, but its just something to think about i guess (im guessing he had A5 and u donkd it off didnt you?)

Still betting more solves problems, at the same time you can secretly reload on the turn, then go south after the hand.
