Worth it to buy new PC?

I am thinking about buying a new PC in the $600-700 range. Is it even worth it to buy a new computer now since Vista will be coming out fairly soon? Then I would have to pay money to upgrade. So would it be better to just wait til PC's start shipping with Vista on them?
