AP says "the slot machines could be ringing by Friday night." The Legislature still has to enact yesterday's agreement.
Sounds like the casinos and Casino Control are preparing to jump the second they're allowed. |

got an answering machine at the trop poker room.
I've been just calling the regular hotel operator lines (1-800) and asking if the casino floor is open yet. now, are they just having dealers sit around? or is poker possibly going to be 12-24 hours after the slots open up? |

I just called the Showboat and talked to a customer service person. They told me, for sure, that it will open sometime between 5 pm tonight (the 7th) and 5 am no later. I asked her if there was any chance it wouldn't open, or open earlier, and she said absolutely not. No earlier and for sure no later.
So, my guess is....like maybe Sunday? |

most table games should come back very quickly after they are re-opened - would assume that slots would take a lot longer because there's so many of them

I would assume the poker will take the longest because you need other people to play and noone want to be the first one to get there.
