i would've had auto-raise on, but i had to think for a second to see if there was value in raising a king river

Without reads it is pretty hard to evaluate this hand. I think I can justify every bet except the call on the river. If the button called the check-raise on the turn and then can still raise the river, he either has a great read on you, is incredibly crazy, or has a hand. I think the percentages are overwhelmingly in favor of the third option.

If you call this flop, it's because you think you are winning. If you think you are winning, just check call down.

As played, fold the [censored] river. It's just horrible.

It looks to me that you played this hand with your ego, instead of your brain.
