Stupid river Queen! Value bet anyway?

No reads on Villian yet. Seems to be middle of the road player so far. Felt like I should have been more on flop and turn. Then the 3rd Queen came on the river making my third 9 useless. This scared me into believing villian either had quads or a bigger boat, even though I highly doubt the larger boat. I feel that I should have maybe value betted the river, but am I only getting called if I am beat?

I think you are very often up against the case 9 here. value bet if you don't mind the extra rake.

I really really hate your bet sizings this hand.

Bet $2.5 preflop

Raise to $7-8 on the flop

Raise to $18 on the turn

Don't value bet this river

Definitely need to put more money in preflop, on the flop, and on the turn. Any advantage you had prior to the river is gone once the third queen hits.
