Default JJ - Bad turn, donked into on the river

Villian is 51/10/1.2

The turn didn't excite me, but it wasn't an ace and I was double gutted, so I felt reasonable value betting it. The donk on the blank river threw me. Easy river call? Is the turn an easy value bet?

I've had 23 straight losing sessions so nothing seems obvious anymore...

51/10 is very very passive, I hate to say it but this is probably a fold, you're beat by god knows what. He had like K4 or 74 right?

I don't find a fold here. Loose passive players find all manner of reasons to randomly donk rivers. Yesterday I had a 94/1.2 player donk an AKJ22 river with 98 offsuit.

The river donkbet here makes no sense. Call.

Totally standard hand.... you must be running bad. But questioning the basics can't be bad.

Think his 1.2 AF his high enough that we should call. 1.2 isnīt really passive when you play more than half your hands.

To my mind everything you did here is totally standard.

If Vehn is right about the river begin a fold then I begin to understand why he is a limit hold'em god and I am some kind of minnow, because I cannot ever find a fold here, and yet in the cold light of day against most sucker opponents I imagine we are losing.

Guy.

Yep, K8o. I couldn't find a fold though. His turn call still smelled like a draw and with the river a total blank, I thought he might be taking a shot with a busted draw.
