30 on party good game, 6 handed, but 10 max table. game is going from short to full.

i get AhJc utg and raise, next guy who i dont really have a read on (no pt stats) cold calls, bb calls. 3 of us.

the flop is 4s, 2h, 6c. bb checks, i bet, utg+1 calls, bb folds.

the turn is Kd. i bet and am called again.

the river is 7c. i bet.

comments?

I'd check and hope he checks behind. You are beat and there isn't much in the way of draws for him to have. I can't imagine him folding a better hand than yours here, its possible he calls with a worse ace but unlikely.

i dont think theres any reason to put him on ace high, and i dont think your average unknown guy is ever folding a pair here, so i dont really like it

As for the hand, I like checking the river and letting them bluff at it as I don't see many hands calling like AT, A9 that you have value against, nor does a better one fold.

i bet and the guy folded. something about a timing delay on the turn made the river bet seem right.

I'm trying to learn limit, and this struck as weird. You think there's a decent chance that he's been drawing with a worse A-high this whole time, and you go into check-call mode on the river? Coming from no limit that seems crazy, could you please elaborate? Also, if you think he'll bet the river thin, why not go for a check-raise rather than a call?

Probably something like A5s or A3s that flopped a gutshot and a backdoor flush draw.
