Default Round of 16 Question

Will Argentina be on the same half of the bracket as Germany? What about Brazil?

Thanks in advance.

I believe one half is A1, B2, C1, D2, E1, F2, G1, H2. THis means Germany will be on the same side as Argentina (assuming Argentina wins its group), and Brazil will be on the other side.

Thanks. Very helpful.

Wow, Italy and Portugul get pretty sweet draws if they win their groups. Spain/Brazil and Argentina/Germany in the same quarter of the bracket.

Not only will GER be on the same side as ARG (if ARG wins the group), they will play each other in the round of 8, if both win the round of 16 games. BRA is in the exact opposite group and (assuming ARG wins the group), it is impossible for BRA to play either ARG or GER until the finals.

(Note that BRA and ESP have not only clinched a berth to the next round, they have already clinched first place in their groups. They would meet each other in the round of 8 if both win their round of 16 matches. No other team has clinched first (except GER, obviously)).
