A position Ive come to love (theory, no hand content)
Most of the time we like to have the bad player on our right. This is for a variety of reasons which have been discussed and should be known. Recently I have discovered that I love having an ultra lag to my left. The reason why this is the case is simple, and something that has popped up a few tiems here in recent days. Its all about relative position. The ultra lag will do all my preflop raising for me when I limp. By having good relative postion I can limp with a lot of speculative hands and call in a nice raised multiway pot (because everyone is calling his raises) and have great position for the later betting rounds. There has to be a drawback though, right? Having the LAG to my left makes my big pair hands play worse. He is going to call my raises a lot and make it profitable for people to call my raises behind him. So if you do choose to place the ultra lag on your left, keep in mind your big pocket pairs and big offsuit cards are going to go down in value and your speculative hands are going to increase. Thats not say you shouldnt play your big pair hands strongly preflop, but I might tend slow down a bit with your big unpaired hands .

Re: A position Ive come to love (theory, no hand content)
There's a lot more hands that would be correct in doing this than just AA/KK in the game you describe even ignoring balancing.
