Default THe Gnostic Gospels

So these were discovered in 1945. Simple question: were any religions changed or created as a result of these findings? What effect have they had to this point, if any?

Default Re: THe Gnostic Gospels

I don't know about any new religions, but Christianity is static, no new texts will change it now. It has caused some people to question why the church will not acknowledge texts from the same period, and by like authors as biblical material. This hasn't had any real effect on the church though. Substantive writings from the nascent stages of Christianity are only important to christians if the church says they are part of the bible. perfectly logical.
