Going to Europe- Wireless Internet Connection??

So I'm going to Europe this summer. Is there some kind of service I can sign up for to get wireless internet throughout the main parts of Europe? I heard it might be different for each country. Does anyone know what i should do.

Vodafone do a 3G data card with international roaming for about $100 a month. www.vodafone.co.uk
