Default Softest AC Game for this Sunday 5/28 ?

I'm going down Sunday afternoon and plan on playing until the time limit that will induce my wife to throws me out of the house Monday morning.

I plan on playing 1/2NL and possibly if I'm running good some 2/5, but primarilly plan on 1/2.

I know The Borgata is the 2+2 choice, they have hot waitresses, bottled beer, etc.., but I'm just looking for profit at the end of the day.

I thought the Showboat games last weekend were softer than any I'd played at the Taj/Borgata before.

Plus, you won't have to wait 15hrs for a table there like you would at the Borg.

But others complain about crappy floor people not kicking someone out who was trying to start fights.

the main problem with the showboat poker room is that it's too far from the main gaming floor where smoking is allowed. this apparently affects almost half the people who would play there now that the new NJ law is in effect. there will be 1/2 NL there, but probably only a few tables and not necessarily as soft as before. I highly doubt there will be a 2/5 going.

harrah's or trop are your next best options.

it's safe to say that wherever you go for 1/2 NL in AC, you'll find some soft games. i prefer Borgata/Harrahs myself.

When did the no smoking law go into effect? I was at The Showboat 3 weeks ago on a Friday night and they had 3 or 4 1/2NL tables going. I had a good session. Has the drop-off in players been faily recent?

I am thinking of trying Harrah's or The Hilton, any more thoughts?

NJ public smoking ban became enforced on April 15th. if you had 3-4 baby NL tables going on that friday, I'd say that's gonna be the max until showboat figures out a solution. this certainly doesn't mean there won't be any good action there, there's just a finite ceiling. also, games may break up earlier in the night than other places. and as previously mentioned, the potential for a 2/5 is virtually nil. hell, even 3/6 limit can be hard to maintain there sometimes.

but if you don't smoke and just having *a* 1/2 NL game available is sufficient, then I don't see any problem with the showboat. I certainly didn't on my last visit there.

I prefer Harrah's (next to Borgata).

Played last night and there was a ton of soft action.
