FFL: Keeper League trade offer
I play in a 12-team keeper league. Once you have a player, he is yours forever. My RBs have become old and decrepit. Here is the best offer I have:
Marvin Harrison and next year's second-round pick (rookie/FA draft) for Willis McGahee. I can't evaluate it fairly because I've had Manning and Harrison from the beginning and I have a man-crush on both of them. Thoughts? |

Without looking at your roster I'd do that for sure.

Without looking at your roster I'd do that for sure. [/ QUOTE ] I made some late-season sacrifices due to our transaction deadline and my dependence on Colts, who were looking to sit guys the last couple weeks. Also, our scoring system is unique but the main difference is RBs who have a decent number of receptions have significantly more value. QB Manning, Sorgi, Orton RB Barlow, Betts, Blaylock, C.Brown, Gado, M.Moore, M.Turner WR Bennett, Harrison, Kennison, Randle El, Ward K Edinger, Elam DT Bengals Also, I have the 9th draft pick (out of 12) because I squeaked my way into a division title and a first-round bye before getting smoked in the semifinals and the third-place game. I'm expecting to get one of the big three QBs unless a decent RB slips through. |

Also, I probably could get Dominack Davis instead of McGahee. Pro is more receptions, and it seems as though the Texans may be committed to him, passing on Bush.

Re: FFL: Keeper League trade offer
Ouch, you weren't kidding about your RB's. How many do you start at each position? If it's 2 WR's I would make this trade. If it's 3 WR's I'm not so sure, but I'd probably still lean towards making that trade.

Re: FFL: Keeper League trade offer
You need a RB very badly, I think you have to take it.
(and I'm a Colts season ticket holder who has Manning and Harrison on a keeper team, fwiw) |

[/ QUOTE ] If receptions are that important in scoring it would make the decision very interesting. I'd make one of the trades and hope to land Chad Jackson or Santonio Holmes at 1.09. If one of the guys ahead of you goes QB you should be able to get one of them. FWIW, I got Leinart at 1.09 in my draft. |

Re: FFL: Keeper League trade offer
Which RB?
Scoring is something like: Rushing 1 point for every 5 carries (max 5 points) 0-9 yards 0 points 10-34 yards 1 point 35-49 yards 3 points 50-74 yards 5 points 75-99 yards 7 points 100-124 yards 10 points 125-149 yards 15 points 150-174 yards 20 points 175+ yards 25 points Receiving 2 points per reception (no max) 0-9 yards 0 points 10-34 yards 1 point 35-49 yards 3 points 50-74 yards 5 points 75-99 yards 7 points 100-124 yards 10 points 125-149 yards 15 points 150-174 yards 20 points 175+ yards 25 points Also bonus for rushing average (up to 10 points, minimum 7 carries) and bonus for receiving average (up to 10 points, minimum 3 receptions). And of course, 6 points for a TD. So an RB that tacks on a 4 for 50 every week can be worth 16 extra points, for example. Marshall Faulk got me four titles, and Larry Centers was a viable starter for me for years. |
