How could Bavetta not see Tayshaun calling timeout? He looked directly at him, and even the NBA friendly broadcasters said Tayshaun called timeout.
Pistons staff should be submitting the footage of this immediately. It's a blatant attempt to make the game more clutch then it initially was, and should not be tolerated. |

This kind of crap happens all the time in the NBA...especially with Dick is involved. Chauncey being gang tackled by Posey didn't seem to get noticed either.
stop being a whiner...you won the game. |

I wish sports had a way to be called exactly how the rules dictate. Probably won't ever happen though... at least not without stopping the entire flow of a game.

Cuz despite that one play...the Heat scored 17 points in 1:57.
If the Heat played with that kind of spunk for most of the game instead of throwing lame alley-oops, missing lay-ups, etc the game would have been 10x better. Hopefully the two games in Miami will be a little more exciting. |

Whoever invented the "let's faceguard everybody right at the three-point line and give the other team uncontested layups" defense should be dragged out into the street and shot, along with whoever invented the football prevent defense. (I suspect that they are the same person.) 2. Normally Dick Bavetta's job is to ensure that the home team gets a crucial win when it needs one, but my theory is that they sent him to screw over the Pistons because the NBA wants this hideously ugly Heat-Pistons series to end as quickly as possible. However, Dick Bavetta couldn't quite overcome a 18-point Pistons lead. |

Is it possible Bavetta just seems horrible, since he officiates so many games and therefore will miss more calls and more important onee?
