golf picks for 5-18

admittedly i have not done very well with golf bets so far this year. but perhaps by making some of my plays public i will turn my luck around. i have been tempted to do this for awhile because no one posts golf plays here, and now that we are getting into the heart of the golf season, it's a good time to start. this week the pga tour is in texas for the colonial, to play a historic old course where accurate hitters and good ball strikers thrive.

i feel the books do make a mistake or two when it comes to golf lines, due to it being a small market. i try to bet the matchups early in the week, and my numbers are almost always better than the closing odds.

there is a lot of statistical analysis possible in golf, and because the players and courses remain the same year after year, it's possible to have a high level of knowledge about upcoming tournaments. when combined with market awareness, golf betting can be profitable.

all but one line moved with us a little or didn't change. i hadn't actually made the lpga bets yet anyway. when betting asian players against cute white girls, it's best to ride the steam.

you can also get herron at -117 at pinnacle, at equal strokes. i'm not sure how much half a stroke is worth, so i just went with the number i liked more.
