Completely stupid 4-sport first-name question

So I was out with a couple of friends this weekend when they started discussing which first name (including nicknames) has the best players out of the 4 major sports (NHL, MLB, NBA, NFL). I know jack squat about hockey, and only slightly more about NFL, so I abstained from the conversation. They could come up with a lot of names that had good representatives in 2 or 3 sports, but not all 4. Some of the names they came up with:

Michael (Jordan NBA, Schmidt MLB)
Mark (McGwire MLB, Messier NHL)
Barry (Bonds MLB, Sanders, NFL)
Steve (Young NFL, Carlton MLB)
Robert (Bonds MLB, Orr NHL, Parish NBA)

I couldn't think of any names because I hardly know any NHL players. Can anyone think of any others off the top of their heads?

a better robert than Bonds is Feller, Doerr, or Gibson. for the NBA, go with cousy.

Michael in the NFL = Irvin or Singletary

James (Foxx MLB, Worthy NBA, Lofton NFL)

Surprised no one mentioned it, but the clear winner is "George".

The "Babe", "Papa Bear", the "Iceman", and "Mr. Basketball".

Here are the Hall of Fame Georges:

MLB- George Herman "Babe" Ruth, George Brett, (plus 4 others)
NFL- George Halas, George Blanda, George Allen. (plus 5 others)
NBA- George Mikan, George Gervin, (plus 1 other)
NHL- George "Chief" Armstrong, and George "Buck" Boucher (plus 5 others)
